Spanning two impactful days, the conference served as a collaborative arena for dialogue, partnership, and forward-looking insights that continue to shape the country’s hospitality sector.

Guided by the theme “Redefining Hospitality: Beyond Boundaries,” this year’s edition delved into how Japan’s hotel industry can evolve through global collaboration, innovative design thinking, and smarter revenue and investment strategies. Discussions highlighted the growing drive among hospitality professionals to think creatively and act collectively in redefining the guest experience.

HJC2025 concluded with strong participation and positive feedback, reaffirming its position as a leading platform for innovation and exchange—uniting Japan’s hospitality community with regional and international perspectives.
Hotel Investment Summit #HISJ

The Hotel Investment Summit Japan #HISJ examined Japan’s evolving hospitality investment landscape amid rising investor interest in regional and resort destinations. As the country’s major urban markets—Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka—approach saturation, attention is turning toward untapped areas with strong tourism and redevelopment potential.

A Japanese panel titled “Beyond the Big 3: Where Japan’s Next Hotel Assets Will Rise?” was moderated by Ryuji Sawada, Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Japan LLC, and discussed how capital is shifting toward secondary and seasonal markets, highlighting opportunities in regional hubs, heritage towns, and mixed-use coastal developments that support long-term asset diversification.

Discussions throughout the summit emphasized the importance of strategic capital allocation, infrastructure investment, and sustainable growth as Japan’s tourism economy continues to expand. Delegates exchanged perspectives on how investors can balance short-term performance with long-term value creation in a market defined by demographic shifts and evolving travel demand.

HISJ reaffirmed its position as a key platform for insight and collaboration—offering participants a clear view of where Japan’s next wave of hotel assets and investment opportunities will emerge.
Hotel Design Summit #HDSJ

The Hotel Design Summit Japan #HDSJ focused on how thoughtful design and sensory innovation can elevate guest experiences while supporting operational efficiency. As Japan’s hospitality sector continues to evolve, the summit examined how design now extends beyond visual impact to encompass emotion, comfort, and technological integration.

Yohanes Wiguna, Product Marketing Manager, APAC at Electro-Voice – Dynacord, presented “Crafting Hospitality Soundscapes: Elevating Hotel Experiences with Perfect Audio Solutions.” The session explored the vital role of audio in creating immersive environments that enhance atmosphere and satisfaction while contributing to seamless hotel operations.

Beyond technology, the summit also addressed emerging priorities such as sustainable material use, adaptable space planning, and the intersection of cultural authenticity and modern aesthetics. Collectively, these discussions emphasized design’s growing importance as a strategic differentiator—one that connects storytelling, guest experience, and long-term value in Japan’s hospitality landscape.
Hotel Revenue Summit #HRSJ

The Hotel Revenue Summit Japan #HRSJ examined how hoteliers can build profitability and resilience amid rising operational costs and shifting market conditions. With Japan’s tourism rebound gaining momentum, the summit highlighted strategies that balance innovation, sustainability, and financial performance.

Yusuke Iwaya, CEO of Cynaps Co., Ltd., presented “Hotel Management Strategies in the GX Era — A New Model Where Decarbonization Drives Profit.” His Japanese presentation explored how Green Transformation (GX) initiatives can simultaneously address environmental goals and improve hotel profitability through energy efficiency and operational optimization.

The wider discussion emphasized data-driven decision-making, evolving guest expectations, and the importance of aligning commercial strategy with long-term sustainability.
